‘SeeLiveDo’

The ‘voucher industry’ is worth a staggering £4 billion a year to the UK economy*, now a new Cornish venture is after a slice of it. ‘SeeLiveDo’ is threatening to revolutionise the way businesses market themselves.
What is it?
Based on the hugely successful vouchers companies like ‘Groupon’ and ‘Living Social’ the basic concept is to offer group discounts on a range of Cornish products and services. Deals are offered via the company’s growing database, when enough people bid, the deal goes live.
By localising the original model, Managers Simon Clowes and Amy Trevan from Padstow are adding a bag full of community conscience and delivering to an audience they know and care about. Participating schools can also benefit as 5% of parents’ purchases can be redeemed to help pay for additional resources.
“The SeeLiveDo site is a local take on a movement that’s already huge in the USA and Australasia, now it’s time for our family, friends and neighbours in Cornwall and Devon to enjoy the benefits!” Says Manager Simon Clowes.
Success
The popular farm attraction ‘Dairyland’ near Newquay is one of the companies which have featured. Manager Brian Anderson is impressed; “SeeLiveDo is a simple and risk-free way of attracting new customers. Our tickets sold really well for no initial outlay…. in the current climate, it’s a business owner’s dream!” Clients enjoy a full page of free exposure on the website while their offer is up for grabs.
Amy believes SeeLiveDo is responding to a shift in the buying process, “With less disposable income, customers want far more for their increasingly stretched pound. New customers are reluctant to part with their cash before they have ‘tried and tested’ a product or service”.
Manager Simon adds “Our motto is ‘Enjoy more, Spend Less…Together’ we want this venture to be a win/win for all involved. It’s not about being a ‘one hit wonder’ for businesses, we want to build relationships and work together long term”.
