Abijoes – Bird Rescue for Disabled People
Helping disabled people to become actively involved with bird rescue, rehabilitation
and care.
Abijoes began in 2008 and continues to raise funds to design and build a new bird sanctuary, catering for both wild and domestic birds, that will enable people with disabilities to become actively involved with all aspects of bird rescue, rehabilitation and care. In addition, Abijoes will also offer outreach programmes to help, both disabled and elderly people, care for their birds (garden and pet), in the wider community, as well as providing telephone helpline support.
